Are people doing this to spite us or do they seriously just hate nonwhite people speaking up

I don’t know what post you’re referring to, cuz frankly I get a lot of nonsense so I tend to lose track of things. The trend I keep noticing tho, is that those that disagree with me or others like you in similar stances have us dismissed as white to be silenced and discredited. While either being white themselves or a token among white friends with major guilt complexes. I think it’s poor attempts at spite more than anything at this point. 

Ahhhh why am I the last person to find out that fans made these amazing items and are selling them on etsy????? I been begging for paladin dresses and Allura earrings but fans have been making them all along. Do you guys have any idea how much self control it is taking me not to throw all my money right now??!!!

My logical brain is telling me that the Allura dress and earrings are enough when prices go down for the holidays, and if really pushing it the Pidge dress as well. My monkey brain is telling me to buy all of the paladin dresses and indulge and it’s getting really hard not to listen to it right now!

I work in animation and your post about representation is … not accurate. Executives don’t care about bad reviews. They care about viewership numbers. People should absolutely hold shows to a high standard and continue to call for better quality representation, not just quantity.

That’s actually good to know! Like I’m super doubtful about anyone approaching me on anon and if you come to me off of it it’ll be more comforting frankly, but I’ll go with good faith and believe you unless I see evidence that disprove of what you say. And I will make things clear I never intended to say don’t be critical of media and rep and accept scraps. People were voting down Voltron on rotten tomatoes and sending emails asking for the show to be canceled just after a main character was revealed gay, giving the wrong idea. It was made offhand and I have no idea why it blew up the way it did. It was especially worrying to me cuz my country bans queer media, so media aimed at kids having rep here is deemed an agenda to corrupt. Heck homosexuality here is punishable with either prison or lashes so I was really angry at the time.
