The fact that young Sendak wears a crown similar to that of young Zarkon is so interesting to me.
especailly considering that Lotor himself doesn’t seem to wear a crown, either as a kid here or grown up in arc 2. Does this mean that Sendak is the High Prince of the Empire? I mean, blood relation doesn’t really matter here cause getting the throne in the galra is through battle so for Sendak to not be related and still high prince it’s not a big deal. And we do know that Sendak was Zarkon’s right hand for millennia, which is a position a high prince would carry.
I find that fascinating as hell, cause regardless, the way young Sendak is dressed and positioned near the royal family tells us that he too, is connected in some way. It actually sheds some light into the fight between him and Lotor in s5ep4, cause if Sendak’s sort of “adopted” into the family, it makes sense that Lotor has this sort of personal fight with him. Lotor calls Sendak a puppet for Haggar the same way he did with Zarkon back in s5ep2. It’s a personal fight that’s for sure.
After seeing her without a hood so often this season, I couldn’t shake just how regal she would’ve been as the aging empress of Daibazaal had things been different
I feel like the s8 trailer made this relevant again
That’s why we’re seeing old foes like Myzak and Sincline and even the latest mecha
In this shot we can see her physically shift between different appearances
I think we’re gonna see all previous robeasts, including Zarkon. Speaking of Zarkon, I suspect that it’s him and the paladins of old that are fighting the paladins in the astral realm.
In the poster we see the paladins of old and alternate reality of the evil fam and young Sendak
So it’s safe to assume they’re all making an appearance
