hey guys. this is milco, a rescue cat of mine. he has some kind of nerve problem and he’s been walking with a limp for a weekish. his vet suggested we take him to therapy.

except the therapy is kinda costy for us. he’ll need 5 to 10 sessions for it to work and each session costs roughly $20 (that’s pretty expensive in my currency, for comparison my internet bill is $40 a month). my brother agreed to pitch in but not by much.

it just hit me earlier today but – no one knows who Honerva is. as in, no one knows that Haggar = Honerva, Zarkon’s wife and Lotor’s mother. The only people to know are Team Voltron, Lotor (who’s awol at the moment) and Lotor’s generals.

That means in that one shot of Honerva at the Kral Zera, unless Honerva reveals herself to be Haggar, all the galra are gonna be shook over an Altean Empress showing up at their ceremony to take over their empire. Even then, it’s likely they won’t believe her. That’s assuming of course, that she revealed that.

And that little detail explains so much. Why Macidus doesn’t know what happened to Haggar. In his mind, the Empress who showed up to wreck everything, wasn’t her. Honerva probably made her last decree as Haggar to the Druids to distract the BOM, who wouldn’t be trailing behind her like they did Lotor. And as such, they wouldn’t be tracing Honerva’s actions after she disappeared in s6, but also wouldn’t know bout Honerva Empress of the Alteans and the galra. Which is why, in s7ep5, Kolivan had no idea bout Haggar and their trail to the Colony was left dried.

Anyways the conclusion to this is: Honerva has massive BDE

Or, how “The Legends Begins” avoids showing Honerva’s very much present pregnancy at the time of her death, and the visual tricks it uses to do so.

So it was confirmed by the showrunners that Honerva was pregnant with Lotor at the time of her death. That was my personal takeaway of the scene in “Blood Duel” wherein Haggar remembers him being her son, so I’m glad to have it confirmed.

Then I realized that this fact actually explains a tiny detail about “The Legend Begins” that has always personally bothered me. In fact, it explains quite a bit about that episode, particularly how Honerva is visually portrayed in the scenes leading up to her demise by rift monster.
