That is very good and well thought out headcanon. Two things that could help your theory-in 80s Voltron there was Commander Cossack who had sort of friendship with Haggar, so idea of her being friendly with at least one general isnt old. Also in season 1 I think Zarkon mentioned smth how he trained Sendak.

You should have seen me pre-season 3 going Cossack is coming back and this time he will be in love with Haggar. Even named it Cogar in case he does show up, while using Horan for Haggar/Coran. Also been going with Raht/Haggar as well. Basically all the buff men are in love with Haggar in my head.

Yes Zarkon did train Sendak it’s true, and he’s been his top man for as long as the empire has been around. For that reason I think Sendak is familiar with Lotor, due to the eternal child being by his side and seeming to never age while Sendak takes the mantle of being Zarkon’s protege.

So far the two commanders that have shown incredible loyalty to Haggar seem to fill in for Cossack, since some of Cossack’s character traits are now in Zethrid, so I really hope the two of them get close for that very reason.

Ok I need to hear that headcanon about Sendak and unrequited love bcs MOOD. Terrible people with terrible love and also since I started looking bit at Lodak now I got idea of Sendak wanting to screw Lotor because of his resemblance to mother (assuming its popular gossip among Galras).

Sendak going after Lotor due to his resemblance to Haggar is the basis of all of my HCs anon I love your way of thinking. Have you noticed that not once has Sendak ever called Haggar witch? We never even heard how he refers to her. Wether the informal Haggar or high priestess speak volumes, but is there anything denying that he wouldn’t use my lady to speak to her? We know Sendak is a smart guy we have seen it in season 1, yet he did not defend himself with the accusations about being Haggar’s puppet.

Sendak is shockingly loyal to her. His lord is dead you would think he wouldn’t care but he took the chance with her. It can be argued that he took the chance to work with her out of pure pragmatic thinking but I didn’t get that impression at all, especially when Lotor yelled at him. Lotor’s line of “so loyal, so brave, and yet so stupid” really made it seem like Lotor once respected those traits in him, and Lotor is telling us that Sendak is incredibly loyal to Haggar still.

Even when Haggar abandoned him he didn’t care, he expected her to act like that. I already spoke about one noble demon but while Acxa is more like a knight, Sendak is a proud warrior tied to his duty to the empire. To him, Haggar is still very much a basis for the empire. Also something that both Acxa and Sendak have in common is that they never called Haggar witch.

So of course me being trash I take Sendak’s way of acting in the Kral Zera as someone who has been pining for Haggar for over 10k years. Think about it, she doubted him in season 1, but when he saw Shiro’s arm he was amused by the work of the Druids. I already discussed Haggar and being a morbid life giver, and add in Sendak’s loyalty and you would expect him to feel tied to her due to the modifications she granted him. His arm and eye, and a new update at that.

Sendak once told Haxus that the biggest weakness is the care for others, and I’m inclined to believe it’s a jab at himself and not just the paladins. Also interesting is that Sendak told the paladins to surrender or he will destroy the planet. Lotor then pulls the surrender now or you will be destroyed. Almost as if Sendak was a mentor.

Acxa is loyal by nature, it was never just loyalty to Lotor

Watching Kral Zera for the billionth time made me fully realise just what a white knight/noble demon archetype she is. When Trugg tries to shoot Haggar Acxa is quick to protect her. She then glares at Trugg right before hell breaks loose

What does Acxa do afterwards? Save Keith, despite the fact that she already repaid her debt to him in the Weblum itself, and then asks if they should get Sendak.

Saving Haggar makes sense, she spared her and her friends and took them in. But that little question about Sendak? That’s pure honour. It shouldn’t come as a surprise really, since she is intended to be the white knight, but it is so rare to see it with female characters.

It’s the reason she had the asskicking line “For Narti” it was her sense of loyalty to Narti and her friends that overcame the sense of duty to the prince. She is protective of those she serves and fights with. She had no reason to care for Keith, she had no reason to order the girls to not kill anyone in Puig. She’s just a noble demon who can get her way without harming too many innocents.

Trugg is brutally dead but we did not see Ladnok actually die did we. The show makes sure we see the Galra right before they die in the most grotesque ways but she was not seen in the ship that was destroyed. So far the remaining Galra leaders are Gnov, Sendak, and perhaps Ladnok. The rest were offed. Haggar is of course the big bad and the next drop marks the villain victory part of the story so she’s good, but the remaining three are out there still.
