i wish the voltron fandom was less focused on fanon ships and more on like, the show, you know. like i wish there were 10k notes on posts about the goddamn mech fights and alien tech, or on comparisons between this reboot’s take on the main characters vs. their counterparts in golion and dotu, or how hilariously lighthearted the episodes ‘space mall’ and ‘the voltron show’ are, or how funny it is that varkon calls keith ‘edgy’ and pidge calls him ‘emo’ and how an alien race was once ready to sacrifice their own people for princess allura because they thought she was a literal goddess, or how lance and pidge adopted a goddamn cow that had been abducted by an alien in mc hammer pants. just. you know. stuff like that. this fandom is really … annoying. and i just don’t get why so many people that have never even watched any rendition of voltron argue about it so much. it gets on my damn nerves.
