Allura has been tricked three times, putting herself and the team in danger, but no one blames her or points fingers at her or says ‘we warned you about this’.
Personally? I say 5%. I think the Altean alternative reality served its purpose and and it was to foreshadow Lotor’s belief and the existence of Alteans. It is the same episode where he got the comet for the ships after all. We still have Haggar, Sendak, Acxa, Ezor, Zethrid, and perhaps Narti still out there. Haggar in particular has been building up for 52 episodes, so I don’t think the alternative universe has that much of an impact even if we do ever see it again. We don’t know the motivations of any of the aforementioned villains, so that won’t be wasted I think. I do think Lotor is coming back but it would be to serve the arc of the current villains, just like how Zarkon coming back served the arcs of Haggar and Lotor. Haggar regaining her memories as Honerva and having memories of her start as Haggar might allow us to see young Lotor and Zarkon again at least, and Lotor could return via Haggar to complete her arc. It’s kinda like a cycle with the three of them.
Something that has interested me since season 6 came out back on Friday has been the reveal that all this time, Lotor had fabricated the Team Sincline split so he could get close to Allura and use her.
It changes the whole dynamic of team sincline, and especially how we see certain events that occurred previously. One of the these is the circumstance of Narti’s death. Previously, I had always assumed that Narti had legitimately been killed in “Black Site” and was to be revived later on for Haggar’s purposes. But now with the new context season 6 has given us, I don’t even think that’s the case. Heck, looking back at “Black Site” and “Begin the Blitz” and even moments in s6 itself, I don’t think Narti was even dead to begin with. After discussing it more with @superheroladies, it makes even more sense that she isn’t, so allow me to explain.
the anger you feel toward me is to be expected. but understand that the events that transformed me in the witch haggar also shrouded any glimmer of maternal instinct i may have had.
